Divers Descend on Durham

Divewise, the North East annual diving conference is again to be held in Durham University on March 9 th. There are always lots of great speakers; this year's programme boasts speakers such as Duncan Cameron (for the second year running!!) and Peter Collings talking about ‘Red Sea Discoveries' – there are also some video presentations on wrecks off the North East Coast - so come along you might find out something you didn't know existed. One of the speakers headlining the conference is Ben Burville. As consultant and seal expert on BBC's Autumnwatch, he has been seen several times onTV playing with the seals at the Farne Islands . This year he plans to bring some of that magic to DiveWise with some previously unseen footage of Farne Island seals and some of the spectacular dive sites on our doorstep.

As always there will be some great prizes available to win - last years prizes included an otter drysuit , a buddy commando stab jacket, a regulator set , a Severn class lifeboat (model) , dive bags, dive clothing, Weezle undersuits and lots of other goodies. We also have trade stands for you to browse around and there are always lots of people willing to talk about diving if you just want some help or advice. We hope to see you there. March 9 th Durham University
